just wanted to say thanks for your efforts. I did get to see bits and pieces once I figured out how to use the stream (bizarrely VLC didn’t work for me, but was able to use an upgraded QuickTime just fine…).
Definitely looking forward to when the videos are uploaded.

I just saw this thread and wanted to chime in. I shot a number of presentations at this year’s conference. These specific presentations were picked out by Ton and will later be uploaded for all to view; I’d say early next week. I offered to shoot these presentations with my camera after learning that another individual responsible for shooting the conference was no longer able to make it. Of course, it would have been nice to have a live stream of every thing and an archive of all the presentations but this is something that would have required another level of planning. I think the new blender institute structure will help with this kind of organization for next year. Of course we should thank hoxolotl for his feed. And I agree with Goofster that if you really want to experience the conference you’ve got to make the pilgrimage.
And as a first time participant, I’d like to say I had a great time at the conference. It was great to meet everyone. From my perspective the talent and enthusiasm of the community is only growing. I feel lucky to be a part of it all.
Twas my first time there as well, really enjoyed it, met some cool people and all.
About the “lack of coverage” Not to be rude, but I hardly watch these videogoogle or youtube presentations anyway. it’s ussually hard to follow when recorded in that kind of room with that kind of compression. details fade, you can’t read what’s on the screen, if it’s noisy you can’t really hear what people are saying well…
You have to be there for it to be fun metinks.
I know I had fun.

Videos (http://www.blender.org/community/blender-conference/conference-proceedings/movies/) seem to be corrupted. Even VLC which can “eat” nearly anything cannot play even one of them. :-(((((
They also don’t seem to play for me in xine. The full versions still play perfectly though http://download.blender.org/ftp/incoming/Bconf_2007/
