Name: Patrick
Age: 20
Location: Seattle,WA
Years of blender: since the first windows version, don’t remember what number it was, and it did take me 3 times of starting to learn it, getting frustrated, and quitting again before I became a “user”. Man I am hooked on blender

Name: John Thorp
Location: UK
Age: 65 (Officially old now!)
Time using Blender: Started with 2.20

Started with computers when I was 60. Did a bit of 3D animation then
got into 2D games (Click-N-Play). Wasn’t satisfied with 2D so searched
for 3D engine. Found Blender, been in heaven ever since!

Not had much time for Blender this year, or posting. Like to check the
forum once in a while though to keep in touch with what’s happening.
Hope to get back into it through the winter.

Comments: Being an avid gamer for many years, I take much inspiration from the tried and tested methods of popular games. My work process is based on creating involving and immersive gameplay, backed by efficient programming. Texture skills have always been problematic for me, so the artwork side of my games tends to be quite simplistic. Instead of trying to be a jack-of-all-trades though, I choose to specialise in modelling and programming. I’m a gamer before an artist

Name: Cesare Marilungo
Age: 32
Location: Rome, ITALY
Years of Blender use: Knew about it 2 years ago, using daily for a year.

Please check my site as a musician/artist at http://www.cesaremarilungo.com
(The project used to be called ‘noosfera’).

There is a page with free tracks at:
http://music.download.com/cesaremarilungo

I’m thinking about releasing some tracks under the ‘creative commons’ license. Maybe you can use them for your games.

Check the website on the sig also. I’m writing new tutorials for blender game engine. I hope to add new tuts on a weekly basis.

Name: Pepe Camarasa

Age: 14

Location: Valencia, Spain.

Years using blender: about 4 or 5.

What i like the best of all my work: Probably “Brain Burner”, the game i made for the Mini-Game Contest.

What I do with GE: I’m now making tutorials, and doing little projects.

What i’ll do with GE: I want to become a coder. I’m learning C++ now. I really like it, it’s more difficult than python, but i like it.

Name: Random Davis

Age: 13 (almost 14)

Where I live: Oregon, USA

Years using Blender: About 2 1/2

What I do with the Game Engine: I mostly fool around with pointless stuff, sometimes making something interesting.

Strengths in Game Engine: Knowledge of Game Engine and sharing it, Texturing.

Weaknesses in Game Engine: Modelling, programming, rigging, audio, and more stuff that I forget about.

If I were to rate myself on a Blender Power scale of 1-10: I think it would be a 7, but maybe as low as 6.5.

P.S. Is jrt really that old?

Unfortunately yes R2Bl3nd. In fact you can add another year to that now. Still love the game engine though! The worst thing is at my age the brain cells are dying at a faster rate than the knowledge goes in.

Trying to get a better handle on Python at the moment with the hope of improving my games.

jrt.
