Halo Mock (Update #20)

Hello,

I will be doing the programming on the Halo Mock, and from what I can tell, Gomer wants to finish all the characters and most of the artwork before the programming stage starts. I can’t wait!

I will make all the demos and betas on Windows, Mac, and Linux.

Thats right, this post is NOT dead. I have been doing a lot of work lately. We completely redid master beef (now Master Bait). We also constructed a team of 8 marines to fight and die (mainly die) alongside you. We have also started construction on the demo level so hopefully we will soon have something small and playable for you guys to enjoy. Here’s some renders of the team.

So far I’m only haveing one problem. Every once in a while when I rig, one or two bones will glitch. When I rotate them it shrinkes the mesh it’s deforming instead of just deforming the mesh normally. Every time I encounter this glitch I end up redoing the entire rigging process to get rid of it. Is there an easyer way to fix this problem?

I have been working pretty hard on some of the ships for the space scenes in the game. Sorry no in game pics yet, we need levels before we can start showing some. Anyways here’s the space stations and the 4 human ship varients (none textured yet).

you probably have two bones parented to a few of the same vertices.

make sure each vertex group is only to one bone.

this is some nice work. One question though, why do you make all your characters have nipples? :stuck_out_tongue:

anoncompboy: To answer that question I will have to tell you that the guy who does all the texture designing works as a mechanic. That and he finds it really funny…

STELLA: Yea, but I do that will allot of other joints and it works fine. it just splits the controle 50/50 between the 2 bones.

Funny. Now make sure you use sound clips of his stand up routines (can be found by searching for ‘bill cosby’ on YTMND.com)

wow, very nice, looks like you put alot of hard work into this, nice modeling, textures are pretty good, but i think they can be a bit better, more detailed 2D art…

I Finally got around to starting a simple in game test demo. I’m hoping I will be done it in a few weeks, but well see…

I still havent started on the playable character and the level is no were near finnished, but the current enemy animations are what we are using for this demo. I hope to have the demo available for mac and windows.
