…thats what i’m here for. I know how the GE works, i just dont know how to activate some of the sensors, and the output of some of the actuators.

For making a gun i neeed to know how to make the barel correctly. (even if you twist the gun around, it will fire where the gun is pointed.)

So you’re asking how to make a gun? Here’s a very rough simple gun set-up, if you understand how the GE works like you said, you’ll know what i’m talking about:

  • Model one.
  • Create an empty and put at the end or inside the barrel. Parent it to the gun.
  • Make a cube, size it down and change the OB: to “bullet”. Move it to layer 2.
  • Have the empty add the cube when your desired button is pressed, locally and give it some force.
  • Press P and fire away!

Look, just download Socials FPS Template and modify it to suit you. If you really do know how the BGE works then this shouldn’t be too hard…

Of course you can post your .blend. That’s the best way( sometimes the only way) to get help.

My server can’t go to that link. Could you post whatevers on that site here? Also when I try to upload a .blend file, it says its a wrong file type then goes on and says that the only files you can upload are (format) jpe, jpeg, jpg, and png. Help?

Try this link. I think it’s the Social’s FPS template with a menu system. I could be wrong. There’s also a bunch of other good stuff on that site.

And once i get there do i click:

(on downloads)(on same page) .blend file? Becuase i get on it and there is no script, no GE stuff, nothing! But when i press ‘p’ a game comes up. how do i make my own?

The actual game is on a different scenes. If I remember correctly, there about 10 different Scenes and the actual FPS is on action. Browse through them all (the Scenes). You can modify them any way you want if you know how.

If i’m not mistaken, i think that the FPS template can only make a shooter game,(built in) and all i can do is change the controls. How do you add your own game?!

No, that still ain’t it. You are obviously in your account screen. If so, click on the file and it will take you to another menu. You’ll see a green arrow with a box that says something like “download link”. You can copy the link in the box beside the green arrow, or you can click on the green arrow, which takes you to yet another screen, and copy that link.
