Ivy : edges and cavities

Is it possible to make the ivy generator grow only in the cavities of a mesh?
and grow only on selected edges of a mesh?

If it is, I am not aware of it, which means nothing. However, one way would be to make an additional mesh using retopo or other means to grow your ivy on, only where you actually want to grow it, then, once grown, turn off the visibility for that mesh.

It depends on what ivy generator you’re talking about. Probably, yes, but that’s a broad enough term that it’s not really possible to give specific instructions here

I usually make my own, with geometry nodes. Lots of tutorials on YouTube, I’ve never used a specific one
