Japandi Interior inspired by photos

Hi guys!

I would like to share an interior scene inspired by photos
Renders were made in Blender + Octane renderer

BONUS: An image from the original interior realization

You can find this project also at BlenderMarket.

What do you think? Let me know

Thank you Alek :slightly_smiling_face:

Hi , Just to say Bravo for making my day. This render make me remenber why I felt in love with
CGi. There this old school Indigo/Maxwell vibe to it. I mean the behaviour or light isn’t stronglly
biased like we see now days in many render that feel automatically cg and artificial.
Great choice of interior and good balance between day light and artificial light.

Just in case you want to improve :
1__ be more generous in term of specular / glossiness reflection (Lemon, wood , floor , furniture )

2__ Reduce indirect light clamping or any setting wich prevent light to bounce more often.
it will bring back a smoother indirect illuminatio into the wooden shelves.

Well done and thanks for sharing. It change from the game like character art we see all other the place.
You now make me wonder how it should look under Luxcorerender.

BTW wich tonemapping mode is use here ? Filmic Aces AGX or … ?

Thank you Sharly,
I really appreciate your comment
I will take a look at the settings of the materials.
A smoother indirect illumination into the wooden shelves would definitely help.

To your question, the renders were created using OCIO color management and in compositing for every camera, there is a compositing node setup - so special tone mapping mode was not used.
