Jason Pose Manager: The Posing Addon is released today!

So, it all started with this topic.

Back then, I thought I was the only one who has a difficult time using Pose Library, because no one seems to be talking about it. Maybe it is, but the topic got like over 300 views right now, a small number by comparison, so I dare to guess that, at least I’m not the only one who questions the same thing and hopefully gets an answer.

However, at the time, the answer is kind of bleak.

Seven months have passed and now, I come back, not to seek for an answer, but to provide one.

So to those who seek the answer like I did, you may not need to look further. Because today, we’re releasing Jason Pose Manager.

With the Basic version, you’ll get:

  1. To export and import the pose into and from external JSON files, which will be saved in whatever folder you so choose
  2. Transparent and manageable Bone Manager, which allows us to manage which bones are saved into the pose, and also to edit all selected bone transform property from one panel.
  3. Pose Data which you can flip and edit
  4. Adjustable Pose List, whose order we can arrange, hide, and remove
  5. Transparent internal File Viewer, to see what are saved inside your Pose Data, and where you save them
  6. Three Pose Loading Options, which allows us to add or extract the loaded Pose Data, so that we can build a pose with another smaller or bigger pose

And with the Universal version, you’ll get:

  1. The ability to transfer poses from one rig to the other
  2. To create a single Profile for each rig system and,
  3. To create a single Adapter for each rig system pair, so that you can transfer poses interchangeably to every rig created by the rig system pair in the future
  4. To offset the Pose Data to suit the Destination rig with a different rest pose state, and to tweak it non destructively
  5. Precision snapping, to move the IK controller to the position relative with the rig’s differing size

Are you blown away just yet? You may want to see the whole thing before you decide to get it for yourself. Watch the rest of the Technical Instruction on my Youtube channel here.

Right now, we’re selling it on Gumroad, and you can get one here.

I really hope that JPM will help you, and a lot of other people as well. If the luck has it, it may be what Malcolm Gladwell would gladly characterize as a tipping point. Or in this case, it’s the tipping addon. May Athena be with us.

So yeah, let me know all about it.

I looked at your gumroad to see what made this different or unusual, but there’s no textual information there. I’m sure your video is very informative, but when I’m considering buying an add-on, I don’t even bother watching the video if the add-on doesn’t have some easily digestible, textual points that explain clearly and simply what the add-on does and why I need it. It’s not just that I want a convincing sell- if something can’t be explained simply and clearly, than the creator doesn’t understand either their product or their target audience well enough, and that’s a red flag in my book.

My point being- you’ll probably get a lot more sales if you can provide some easily accessible, easily understandable, information about this

To clarify- your text right now says “the pose library is bad. This is better”. Ok, why is it better? I’m not going to spend 15 dollars on the premise of “it’s just better”

Hey, thanks for the input! I really thought I should put the text description, but some part of me was afraid that they would clutter the space. I’ve got the description ready beforehand, but decided not to put them.

How wrong I was!

I’ve edited both the Gumroad page and the topic here. Though copy writing is not my forte, so I hope they’re sufficiently representative of what the addon can do.
