Heavily inspired by an awesome breakdown here on Blenderartists (link: Forest Island), I created this scene. Many thanks to @Heikosch for sharing his knowledge and his fog volume shader. This shader really took it to the next level.
Everything is rendered in Blender with Cycles at 4K with 250 samples and denoised with the Open Image Denoiser. Trees are from Maxtree and Globeplants, graas is made with Graswald and the lighting is done with the Physical Atmosphere add-on.
Small color correction are made in Photoshop. Viewport render down below.
Very good, but the water breaks it. Such a large body of non-fozen water in no way would ever be so fully motionless, outdoors. Maybe a subterranean lake inside a cave, but not this.
