yeah the Zen 4 versions could actually be quite interesting once they are released.

Yeah I was just trying to be “fair” and not include full sized GPUs I will have a look however for fun. I suppose it will be an eGPU looking at the picture.
Also most go Apple M1 for is slower than the Nvidias and stuff but do not forget it is an SOC, take something like that from Intel or AmD and the story is quite different.
Nope. It’s hooked up through an external PCI-e slot. It’s not vastly different than the ribbon setups you get with some mini-ITX cases.
Though considering it also requires a full sized PSU, I’d say that if you’re gonna go that route, you may as well just build a normal PC.

I am praying for an Mini with the M2 Pro and 16 GPU and 16 RT cores (or along those lines and a single core speed to match the 12900 KS).
That would be a funky little machine. Especially if that would give us a 60-80 % boost like going from Cuda to Optix for example.
I never understood why Apple never did a Mini with at least the M1 Pro.
However I would feel kinda sorry for everyone that bought the base Studio then (I should say the M1 Max studio).
Probably because in the desktop space, the Pro would be the unhappy medium. It’s more expensive than the regular M1, but slower than the Max. There’s no real advantage to having it around other than just providing the option.

But the shrinkwrap does not work well when you want to flow / fold the whole mesh over the target surface.
Good to know, I have not tested it myself but was curious if there was a way to do it without a plug-in.
As much as I hate sketchcrap ah I mean sketchUp it does have here an there some serious nice add-one which are a lot easier to use in terms of workflow / process compared to blender where you have to click here and there …
I cant say I have been avoiding that that like it is the plague.
Since I discovered Fusion 360 I never saw a need to use it either.

Myself I’m just getting ever deeper into universal clipboard, keychain, instant opening/closing of apps (that’s mostly macOS + proper software optimizations I guess)… the couple of hours a week working on windows is a bit sad, not bad mind you, it works and beefy PCs be beefy but lower QoL.
Off the cuff here, but did Apple ever get around to adding cut and paste to MacOS?
