So I did this animated strange attractor thing the other day and I thought: why not increase the particle count to something that give me almost solid surfaces, like 4 million and then play around with materials and single source lighting. Here are the results:

This is very cool looking, and intriguing!
Probably a big ask (due to the large number of particles involved), but I would love to see this in a turn-around animation (at least partial), just to better grasp the 3D structure. More rendering without recomputation…

Here’s a quick Eevee render, frame interpolated with RIFE and downscaled/compressed to fit into the 5MB limit of BA. But it should still give you an impression of the 3D shape:
