No-light render redux

I have the same question as in no-light render option but almost 15 years and many Blender versions later: How can I render a scene that ignores all my lights and simply illuminates all objects? That is, I’d like something that’s basically the equivalent of a screenshot of the Material Preview viewport shading as far as lighting is concerned. I’m currently running Blender v2.83.

Great! Your screenshot helps a lot more than the textual instructions in the linked thread to click on some button with some picture in some window. :slightly_smiling_face:

In this mode, is there an easy way to render the background—I’m using a solid, black world color—instead of the grid? If not, it’s no big deal; I can always stick a big, black plane behind my objects.

it’s hidden a few levels deep in preferences, and then you can adjust overlays, see here:

Yeah, it’s definitely way too hidden. But I did trick out my color scheme, which I am loving.
