Photoreal House(Attempt)

I made this to test making substance materials and blender modelling. Haven’t tried to make a photoreal image in a while and having a hard time haha, any criticism is valid and I would love to hear it! If anyone has got questions feel free to ask.

That’s so cool. :+1:
How much is the rendering sample setting value?
Is it Cycles rendering?

Great. I really like the contrast/ambience/light
How do you use the substances? is it straightforward with plugin?

But the food do not look tasty, you have to improve your culinary skills

PS:Is the water vapor real Blender particles?

Thanks man! I really appreciate it!

I uses 1000 for mac 0 for min and capped its render time to 30 mins in cycles. And thanks man!

Its straightforward but I made the textures(Except for the cubbard wood and painted metal thing. Yeah dude I think food is super hard! Tried to make it look like hotpot but it really does look cheap though haha.

PS: I think by water vapor you mean in the broth of the hotpot. I just used a image plane and masked out the smoke with a emission shader. Its really simple and I would love to figure it out with particles but my potato PC wont allow for it haha.

Thanks, the image plane works.
What is your GPU and what render times you achieved?

Gpu is GTX960m. So not terrible but probably bad for pro artists haha. I just capped the time limit to 30 mins so they all took about that long using the denoiser

Exceptional work, very nice kitchen! I can’t believe that it’s not photography. But two small details confirmed to me that it is still 3D In the bowl the eggs, muchroms, are obviously too much same shaped and there is no handle for the drawers. BRAVO!

It looks awesome! I like your attention to details too. That boiling pot adds more believability that this is a real room where someone lives))

Dude nice eye. They aint eggs they are fishballs but I was in a rush to finish the project at that point and I didnt add any variation. And I only realized later that the reference I was using have really subtle handles that I didnt model. Thanks man!

Thanks dude!

Man this is fantastic!!!

I see you mention Substance. Did you have to uv unwrap all of this stuff?

Super good job. I love the water around the sink, it’s very life like. The ONLY thing that bother me is the resolution of the cooking pot. It’s not smooth enough for a close up like that! Obviously it works on the first picture because it’s far.

I would maybe also add handles on the cupboards.

Again, super clean and complete work!
