Third (or is it fourth) attempt at the Steampunk Willie airship airframe. Engines next, I’m thinking of W-24 diesels.
Won’t be able to work… all right, that’s bs. I’m working on this right now, but I just went and got Spore so I won’t be doing this for a couple of days.
I’ve been playing with the displacement ability recently… Cone + spiral.jpg = christmas tree!

Hey klaatuteela,
i liked your screen shot and wondered what the real thing would look like. So, I typed “Steampunk Willie airship” into google image search! Try it, you’ll get a laugh out of it
I made an (imaginary) airship once … lot’s of fun.
Hope your poly count isn’t killing the project!
Good luck (should you need it)!
tomorrow the eyes (after cleaning of some nasty ngons and making the loops flow a bit better)
Yah, poly count is one reason I’m on the fourth iteration of this project. My beastie (dual-Xeon Dell Precision 650 workstation running Fedora Core 9) is a bit slowish while manipulating that mesh. I have more memory for it, just haven’t installed it yet. Work is progressing slowly, I’m getting irradiated 5 days a week to treat prostate cancer and my father passed away 5 days ago in addition to all the usual shite that a middle-aged family man has going on. But it’s moving along, and the various aspects of the project give me a good distraction to think about when I need something distracting.
And I did that search. LOL, ya shooer you betcha.
Ha, good one!
Me too.
Working on Python Script to convert images to geometric objects:
You poked Suzannes eye!! You bastard!
You poked Suzannes eye!! You bastard!
Sorry about that!
Working on a spire thingy for the tops of the towers of my castle.
I’m sorry to read about the situation you’re in, especially the loss of your dad
Hopefully, the outcome of your irradiation treatments is in your favor. Please keep us posted on the progress of your airship model.
About two years ago I was working on an animation that featured a loooooong bridge and the poly count was so high that i had to buy a new computer just to keep working on the project. The scene was used for the opening, showing an futuristic jet-engine bike and robot traveling on a water surface. To give the scene a better sense of speed and distance traveled, i had to put a bridge in the background to frame the shot.
What a way to display movie credits!! Oh well, that’s how we learn I suppose

I just posted the script:

I wish I were working on something to post up here, but I’m watching movies on Vimeo!
That script sounds like it’d be nice, a_n!
Oh, thanks!
I’ve been trying to duplicate a model from this video.

(Yeah, I know the body needs a ton more work)
