:confused:what do you think so far …its my first time trying to model a cg head with correct topology.:o…

Some screenshots :

and a video  :

Did you try the auto-skinning ? (aka bone heat weighting)
It gives really good results quickly (you’ll certainly have to tweak the weighting though)

Peace :-).

This is what I’m working on today amongst other things more or less totally unrelated lol(does anyone do one thing at a time?)
Sievert Gray, tastes just like chicken they say…
Revisiting an older model for use in the gameengine, atm tweaking weights and walkcycle.

Nacho cheese chips!

Haha nice one. I always worry when I make things like this that no one can tell what they are.

Minifig is it just me or does your avatar become more and more detailed every week? Or perhaps its just a new lego character each week or something?

Not every week, I just updated a short while ago.
It took me a little while to get the camera right.

Hey that’s really cool! Why d’you call yourself another_noob. This is absolutely non-noob!

I’m working on this: Space ship. Inspired by the shape of a frog (for a good gliding when entering the atmophere).

Was doing some render tests to see how octree resolution settings affected render times for my doodles… 512 was signifigantly slower than 256 for me in this instance…

is there any good way to determine pre-render what setting would be the best?

In case you haven’t already seen this, here’s some info from the wiki that should help:

http://wiki.blender.org/index.php/Doc:Manual/Render/Options#Octree_resolution
http://www.blender.org/development/release-logs/blender-233/render-engine-features/

Here are a few models I’m working on.
(I’m practicing my modeling skills)

I’m currently working on a steam-punk gear-man, he’s the character of a story I wrote, and since this is the off-topic section, I can post the story too!
Please give me feedback on the story, it’s for a competition, if I win, I get 250 bucks!

wait, It won’t let me attach the word doc, could somebody help?

Just copy and past it, then select it and click the quote button.

uhhh, it’s seven pages long…

Can you save it as text and attach it?

BTW, I like the gear hand.
