It’s a simple post-apo scene.
Everything is homemade, except for the colonnade building and the tower to its left (Sketchfab).
With the exception of the vegetation and the stark tower (it comes from an old project), everything was done in 12 hours.
The problem with this kind of scene is that they require a lot of detail, especially the vegetation. So I went for a walk in the forest, took some photos and made around forty Low Poly assets (Grass, Bush, Shrubs, Plant, Big and small tree, Ivy). Large trees are between 8,000 and 40,000 poly, on average 5 for small vegetation, 30 to 200 for the rest (Small tree, Ivy, Bush, …). All shaders have several fixed and random parameters: season, dry, saturation, darken. The trees have a similar shader, with the difference that the foliage is parametric and the shader is common to all trees.
Made with Blender 2.83 and photoshop !
The Assets :
Currently I am trying to develop an addon to easily manage these assets (import, placement, shader management).
I have created around forty plant assets, the majority of fonts less than 6 faces.
These trees a few trees (polycount: 8K, 12K, 17K, 21K, 45K). The leaf shaders are common to all trees, procedural and have several parameters (seasons, saturation, …).
I have other assets ready and in preparation (small tree, bush, ivy, …).
