Hello Guys,
I am new to this forum but maybe someone knows better and can help me out.
I’m currently modeling the Knight Bus from Harry Potter based on drawings of an AEC Regent III
I would like to have this dented surface and also these rain streaks.
Does anyone know how I can achieve this look?
Thank you in advance.
Best, Nic
here a tut on rain
Rain and water puddles

The dents look easy. Probably feeding a simple noise texture into a bump node already suffices.
The rain streaks, not really sure what is the best idea. Something simple would also be using a noise texture, stretched in vertical direction and the shape tweaked with a color ramp.
A fun way which can produce quite convincing results in to use dynamic paint on the surface and use a particle system (which simulates rain) as the paint emitter. Here is the tut about that:
You would probably need to tweak the Dynamic Paint canvas settings to get that look close enough. Maybe enabling Drip would help.
