Today, I focused on the small details again, but they haven’t been easy to tackle. The main issue is that I didn’t prioritize these elements with enough resolution for painting, so it’s been a bit of a struggle to get them just right.
Still, my stubbornness keeps me going, even if the result isn’t exactly what I had envisioned.
Today, I continued refining the details of the accessories that make up our character.
I’m finalizing the panels, which I decided to include to give her a more adventurous and futuristic look compared to the other characters in the story. This choice is meant to highlight that she comes from a distant place and has unique experiences. I’m focusing on enhancing these panels to reinforce that idea, and I hope it works.
Tomorrow, I plan to complete them and move on to painting the remaining elements.
What do you think?
Today, I was able to complete the detailing of the small accessories our character has.
The only thing left is the glass lens of the visor, and then I’ll finally move on to the body and fur!
Fur… it’s not the easiest thing to paint, but I’ll do my best!
Today, I finally completed all the accessories and clothing for our character.
I’ve now moved on to what I find the most challenging part to paint: the body.
I started with the eyes, aiming to add more depth and shine, and I’m really pleased with the result.
On Monday, I’ll begin working on the fur and figure out the best technique to paint it.
I’m back!!!
I’ve returned and completed the first stage of our character’s painting. The next steps will involve adding shadows and texture effects to match each type of material.
I’ll still make a few tweaks here and there, but overall, the painting is finished.
I’ll be back on Monday to continue working on our Stela!
Wishing you all a great weekend!
Best regards,
Rute Perdiz
After some time away, I’m back! I haven’t been able to work on the project because I had some tasks to complete, but for now, I’ll be more active again.
I decided to return to the character I was working on and finally finish it. It just needed a few texture adjustments to be complete, and now it’s done!
I’m also planning to share the videos I recorded throughout the modeling and painting process, as I always do whenever I finish an object.
Exciting updates are coming in the next few days…
Hope you like it!
I do like it. I’m curious though how this seemingly high-tech, slighty futuristic character is going to fit in the RS world, which seems to be pretty low-tech in general.
Today, I finally managed to edit the video that gives a brief overview of the entire modeling process of our character, Stella—a new addition to the story to bring more mystery and intrigue.
I’ll also be sharing the texture painting video, but I’ll save that for tomorrow.
Here it is—the video of the 3D texture painting for our character, Stella!
It was a long process, but I think it turned out really well.
The fur was definitely the most challenging part, as painting it is always a bit more complex for me.
These last two videos videos had originally 10 hours and 20 hours respectively.
This is edited in Blender, so Blender is such an awesome editor that can handle 20 hours of 2.5K footage… for me that followed the development (in 2007, when I was editing Orion Tear, for it to edit 10 minutes would be difficult) it’s very impressive!
I’m back to this project, after such a long pause due to other ones that took priority.
We’re returning to Resilience Satelle to adjust, update, and enrich the world we started creating.
I began by developing this boat concept. It will be a kind of school boat.
It’s still in the early idea stage, but over the next few days we’ll keep developing it more and more.
Hi guys!!
It’s been a while since I last modeled houses and this kind of object, so I had to “warm up” a bit before getting the result I wanted. I think I’m heading in a good direction because I’m starting to like how it’s looking.
I spent quite some time deciding how to do the roof, but I finally reached a conclusion and, for now, I’m going with this idea.
Today I continued working on our boat, which will be a school boat for our short animation, Resilience Satelle.
I’m still experimenting with what details to include, so the model is still quite simple. Once I decide on the final approach, I’ll improve its geometry.
The boat is cute, but in the real world it would capsize immediately. That might be completely irrelevant for a stylized project of course, or even a good thing because it could look even funnier that way.
