We have started a FPS game project based on sniping. To start with we are making the game resemble more of a standard FPS game, but later we will turn it into a realistic sniping game with real conditions.
We will continue to post our progress of the game on this thread, but progress may be slow because at the moment we are only a two-man team. We are very committed to this project and we will not give up.
What we have done so far:
-Rigged the player (body, camera & weapon)
-Mouse controlled view
-Low quality sniper rifle (just using it to set up the player, not using in the game)
-Player movements
-Firing system (Currently being upgraded)
-Enemy health system
-Zoom for the scope of the rifle (Thanks to TheSambassador & ionee)
We were thinking more of an amry setting, but an assassin may be interesting…We will consider it. Thanks for your intrest in the project, we will try to get those screenshots ASAP.
Here is the sniper rifle. it is the one we will use for now, but we will be making a better one soon. This one was mainly made so that we could accurately rig the player.
You start on a skyscraper in the middle of a city, your objective is to guard an unmarked military car through the streets. At first there is nothing strange, but then there is an ambush and the car is destroyed (but the people inside are taken hostage). You then have to snipe as many enemies as you can without hitting any civilians. An enemy vehicle then arrives and extracts the hostages before you can do anything.
This is still a work in progress and is not finalized, so any comments will be appreciated.
There will be an optional training level included where you fire a few shots down a shooting range at non-moving/moving targets, but thanks for the comment.
Aaaaaaawwwwww what a lovely Barrett, the bullet should be much bigger though. Why not making an assassin in a military setting. Taking down corrupted officier, unless the player is working for the corrupted ones
Way to go baby, sniping is gay they said…I answer them with headshot from nowhere.
We are aming to have the first level finished and demo released by sunday the 14th. We are still doing the story that we posted earlier in this thread, so any comments are appriciated.
