i actually agree with cyborg dragon on one thing.

liberal views are forced upon us

i know this sounds crazy, but im not allowed to stand up in public and say, “hey, i think the war in iraq is a good thing”
sure i can say it, but i will be blasted from every direction.

here is a story of what happened to me one day at the mall. i was cruisin along the mall lookin for something to do, i had just got done with school and i was still in my NJROTC uniform. so im walking, and i pass this store with a electronic danceing GW Bush thing. i stop beside this lady who is observing it and we both have a good laugh, or so i thought.
i turned to see her giving me this disgusted look, strange, but no big deal, i go about watching. then the lady says bush is a f####in idoit, right there in the mall, (little kids are running around and she is at least 45 years old) i kinda shrug my shoulders and mutter “well, hes not all that bad, no one really is”

you wont belive what she said!

she snapped at me and said “yes he is, and you are too you military facist!” it hit me like a ton of bricks, what the hell? i looked at her and said, “im in high school, im not a sailor, just a cadet. im too young to be a sailor.” then she said “thats even worse, the military comeing into our high schools and brain washing our children to become war criminals, i honestly feel sorry for you! dont you realize your heading straight for a painful life of tortureing the innocent, having no free will, and it will all end for you in a road side bomb!”
i was in total shock, but whats worse is that another bystander agreed with her, followed by a few others!
i looked at her and said “shows how much you-” she cut me off by sayin “no! NO! i dont want to hear your lies, they wont work on me” or something like that.
i kept trying to explain and defend my self and my family (i come from a military family) but she kept cutting me off and no one would support me.
all because i said Bush isnt as bad as people make him seem.

i finally just walked off embarassed, maybe the lady was drunk, or from seattle, but that really sucked. its funny how liberals always claim they’re the ones who are silenced…

whatever, i didnt let it get to me, ill just go on living my life, the way i wanna live it, and im not gonna let any politics from either side stop me.

oh by the way, i want to join the army to help the world, because wether you like it or not, its what they do

Well I hope you’re not implying that I’m of the ‘we aren’t responsible, party on’ group. I’m not saying we shouldn’t try to save ourselves, or that we should blame other people etc. I just don’t think we’ll survive.

It probably the same lady who was watching disapprovingly with these false hurt and fake feelings when my friends were do a bit of public advertising of our corps in the mall, when this 'lil girl was cocking the machine gun.
That bird actually wrote a letter to the newspaper about it . . . does she care that because of us she’s not speaking Japanese or German or Russian . . . (not that I have anything against those languages)

if you want to stand up in a crowed and say you think the iraq war is a good thing, you better have somthing more to say about it other then Sadam was a bad guy,
Casue Bush was on that air craft carrier and said the war is over the iraqi army has been defeated, now it is just an insergency,

hearing CD say “nut cases like …” anyone made my day. And its land ice formation thats the concern, thought all folks knew that. greenland and such. People like to whine about the ozone … whcih they should but are you willing to pay for natural gas heat which is strongly related to the oil price or dirty cheap coal. You could buy a ton of yes you a ton of coal with whats in your wallet if you payed what the industry pays for coal. Thats the problem its difficult to phase something out when its the cheapest solution to one of your biggest concerns. Whether the distracting electronics of your life flip on. Thats what makes electric cars funny 45 45 10 those are the percentage of co2 produced, transportation, power, and other. Electric cars just cut out foreign influence to the economy not the pollution problems related to co2 if your on a grid supported by a coal power plant.

Wow NJROTC, she called you a military fascist!? That’s just wrong, liberals shouting foul at conservatives just because they’re religious and have different views. It’s much like how in some school districts you can’t even mention you believe in God without getting in trouble.

We can’t let the liberals silence us conservatives, and we can’t let them ban the mention of God from the public square. Christians need to get their views out, we need to allow the spread of Christianity, we need to get our nation back in line with God.

Did you know Huckabee actually said that the Bush administration has an “arrogant bunker mentality”. It’s true, he’s a baptist preacher and doesn’t agree with a few stuff with Bush, read about it in the CNN political ticker.

Huckabee cares about America and the Constitution and connects with people and stays positive, that’s why he’s booming in the polls.

Ladies and gentlemen, I am glad to be able to speak to you tonight. As you all probably know, the world is more or less in the loo and about to get flushed. What we do not need is more warfare, pollution, killing, greed, power staturing and the like. I think it may be time for a group hug and for us all to grow up and realize that we are all Bozo’s on this bus. You are not right, I am not right, but I do think that if we put our minds together we could arrive at solutions to a lot of problems facing us these days. Imagine, cooperation instead of conflict, healing instead of pain, life instead of death, A UVM in every garage.

And now, back to our regular program…

Hello,
I havn’t read all the posts, but thought I’d just mention that the state of the world is following along exactly as Jesus and the Bible says it would.
I don’t really know what to say, I just wish more people would see the times and end up turning to Jesus and seeing the Truth, and being saved, and its so awesome to be saved and to be able to rest assured and not worry. i still worry, but alot less than I used to, and He keeps helping me more. Its awesome, and I know that everything looks bad here, and it is, but I know that soon He will come and all that He said will come to pass. He is so awesome!
But things are going exactly as the Bible shows, and of course its that way, the Bible is the truth, and all things in it will be fulfilled.
Also, I’m not really likely to check back here, as I am aware of what the world things of me, my Lord, and the Bible, but if anyone does want to talk about anything like this for real, I’d be more than happy too :slight_smile:
