This is an animation I created from my project “Streets of Rubik’s”, which I posted late last year. I made this after some suggestions from others who saw the previous animation posted there - and I’m really happy with how it turned out!
In this animation, the small green utility truck traverses the street-scene Rubik’s cube as it rotates. Each side spins to help the truck have a road to travel.
This is best watched as a loop - which you can do on desktop by right-clicking the YouTube video and selecting “loop” or watching it on YouTube Shorts.
Everything here is keyframe animation, and the vehicles are all rigged with simple armatures that allow for basic driving/rocking back and forth motions. It was rendered in Cycles in Blender 4, and unlike the previous post, this one uses AgX and some color-correction, so the colors are a little more muted than before. All the materials are procedural.
As with the previous post, this is based on a concept by another artist, Paul Carroll (aka Stublag).
