hello again… i am trying to model a martial arts gi clothing for my character, and I know it sounds stupid, but i just cant wrap my head around it. i am used to using the mirror modifier, but as it is not symmetrical its a problem. i just really need some advice. How do people make realistic cloth for film type animation?

I’ve done lots of modeling and rigging, but never really cared about rending animations from Blender. But I’m trying to do that now and the biggest challenge seems to be realistic clothing… You would sort of think you could configure a cloth sim and have it react to your animations, but I get pretty garbage results no matter what I try So I’m wondering how people actually do it? A million shape keys?
