UV mapping error

This is what happens when I try UV mapping my work, how can I fix this?

This isn’t the right subforum, but it looks like you didn’t make seams before choosing the unwrap option.

Mesh modifiers in most cases should be applied before being unwrapped, except in some cases where you’re using a true multiresolution mesh and/or dyntopo in sculpting.

Apply your Subdivision modifier, then re-UV unwrap your mesh.

I did, it’s part of the tutorial.

Are you choosing Unwrap from the UV mapping menu (u hotkey), and following these steps?

I think the default should work fine but I am trying to narrow down the problem. That image shows the default.

Try unwrapping the individual meshes individually, you will see what is going on. You can sort it out but it will be more difficult.

Well, there is another solution, and i don’t think you’re looking for this one but it’s called smart UV project which you can search for by pressing f3.

This is not a new function.
Even Blender 2.4x versions had this function.
Back then it was called Unwrap (smart projections).

Using your file Unwrap and Pack work properly. Only discrepancy is that for me it doesn’t put the islands on top of each other when using unwrap.

Could be issue with your blender install or version. (I used 3.1.2 and your file)

It seems to work well only when I unwrap it individually.
