Volvo 7900 electric bus

A project I recently completed. I did the whole pipeline of this project myself including the modeling, look development, and rendering. Bus was modeled inside blender, textured inside substance painter, and rendered in Unreal engine 5. This was my first time using unreal engine as my main render engine and I think it turned out quite well.

I also did a few studio renders using blender cycles

And finally heres a few clay shots of the bus model

I hope you have enjoyed looking at my renders. This entire project probably took over 100 hours across the span of 2 or 3 months. I had a lot of fun with this challenge, and I learned a lot by doing this.

I featured you on BlenderNation, have a great weekend!

You’re on the #featured row! :+1:

this is just excellent work.

Beautiful. How did you get all the detail and dimensions of the bus interior? It’s amazing.

Brilliant work. Love the details, textures and that 2nd rendered image in the evening looks awesome. Well done to you

Thank you!

Thank you! For the exterior I used a software called autodesk image modeler to callibrate images to get accurate proportions and dimensions. For the interior I was able to somehow find the only blueprint that exists of the floorplan I wanted. I fitted it to the exterior of the bus and marked down proportions and then eyeballed from there.

Thanks for the detailed explanation. It seems a really neat trick.

I looked up ImageModeller and found it is no longer supported or available.

But fSpy seems to be the current replacement and it works within Blender.

I will have to give it a try:

Woa! super cool…
I made this volvos90 presentation back then

Very solid work, well done!

where did you get that image modeler program in these days? can you give us a download link?

The only way to get a hold of image modeler these days is through word of mouth. Unfortunately I cant give the download link because that would be illegal
