White Stew and Rice - Non-destructive Soft Surface Modeling

Hi, I finished this project ‘White Stew and Rice’, also fan art of Miffy (Nijntje) :rabbit:
100% Eevee procedural texture.

I’m using the way with simple mesh such as a plane or circle or sphere, then add modifiers for finishing form.
It has become to manage scenes easier for people like me who are not good at organizing things.

Here is brief explanation video.

Particles OFF

Modifiers OFF

…and, I often add and handle modifiers from Animation Nodes (by scripts with Expression nodes). I’m looking forward to Everything Nodes project.

Thank you for reading my English😀

Mother always told me not to play with food :stuck_out_tongue:.

Looks great. Only the rice-shader feels off a tad imho (too glossy, I guess)?

greetings, Kologe

Are you ever going to show us how you did your strawberry shortcake? :strawberry: :heart: :strawberry: One year later and I’m still amazed by it! :open_mouth:

That’s impressive. It looks like a realistic food art thing, but one thing I have to say about the rice is it looks sort of shiny and almost pearlized, like there’s luster dust brushed over it or something. Maybe they should be a bit more rough. What shader does that rice have on it? Also what are those green tomato looking things on the side? I mean it looks like the red ones next to them maybe are supposed to be cherry tomatoes. They do look a bit translucent for cherry tomatoes as well to me. Other than that it’s very impressive.

@Kologe
Thank you, I must think more about rice shader.

Thank you for the comment.
I made brief video about basic 3D-texturering before.
I might be able to explain it better… I’ll think about it for a minute.

@TheCuriousHobbyist
Thank you for the comment.
My aim is not realism, red and green balls are ‘tomato-like-thing’.
But I understand should eliminate unnaturalness as artwork.
I will do my best to improve.
