[WIP] Zelda-like [new blend p2 with arrow keys controls]

Is there supposed to be a semi transparent cloud texture where ever you look?

Im getting 1.1 frames a second on this computer and between 5-10 on my other computer.

And I noticed that the bombs only apear in one spot.

since it’s not a demo the horse logic is not made yet so he will stupidly walk on the water …
and when you report a “possible” bug, please mention your blender version, check your graphics drivers, the console errors,etc, nor your post is totally useless.

the project fall asleep because i’m looking for a tutorial or a simple explanation of how the new state machine works !!!.
i know that a state machine can be pictured with a grafcet or a petri network thing (with states and transition), but i can’t make the link with the logic bricks system.

if anyone can help me with a blend or something … :frowning:

The state system is comparable to the layers in blender. You can set separate logic bricks in each ‘layer’. You can then tell your object when to go in each layer at what time using the state actuator.

I hope that helps abit. I could go into a bit more detail if you’d like.

ok thanks a lot,
i didn’t realized that the state actuator was used to switch between states, that the states were defined by the number on the right of the controller, and that i needed to set the initial state on the middle panel under the controllers collumn.

i figured this while reading carefully the releases notes of the state machine system

this new logic system is great but it could be awesome if you could arrange your states like in the nodes system…(in a more graphic way)
because i think i will need to draw a flow chart on a paper to avoid mistakes with bricks

i’m also disapointed with my level design , i don’t know if i should reduce its size, separate into smaller parts(it won’t be pretty since its an island), improve my lod system , or put less herbs…
