Whew, we’re ready to start! Thanks to everyone for updating their artwork with the requested tags.

You can now cast your vote for your favorite artwork in 13 different categories for this year’s ‘Best of Blender Artists’ award. This is a big deal for the nominated artists, so please take some time to help us pick the winners!

For each category, we selected the nominees by going through the ‘top’ view of each tag for the last year, and entered the 30 most popular works. To prevent bias, they’re presented in random order.

Here’s what we need you to do:

  1. Visit the BoBA2023 category and pick the category you wish to vote for.
  2. For each category, pick up to three of your favorite projects
  3. Results will be made visible after you have cast your vote.
  4. To change your vote, click ‘Show vote’, update your choice and click ‘Vote now!’
  5. Voting closes on January 2, midnight, Amsterdam time, and we aim to announce the winners soon after that.

Thanks for organizing this!
Is there a restriction on the voting for new accounts? I admit having publicized this on social networks, but it seems like the button does not show for some people who just created an account.

This is community voting, so votes should come from members of the community, I’d say :slight_smile: It seems a bit unfair for people to create accounts just for the sake of voting, especially since in a lot of cases, people could be creating sockpuppet accounts just to vote for themselves

Yes exactly. We disqualified a few entries last year because the same thing happened - they had a large numbers of votes from brand-new users. We excluded them based on the same argument: this is for the community, by the community.
