You said the script will rename Yafray.exe to Yafray.ex , does this mean I will have to rename it myself if I want to be use Yafray again?
Or is there more?

Secondly, am I able to use the same settings in Yafray for Povray?
For instance, the setting up of the HDR image? Is that the same?

yes it does rename but after the process it rename it bak so if you use F12 it will work Yafray, and about the hdr the answer is no, since I do not read texture from world, but if you put a sphere around the scene with the material as an imagen with the hdr file with emision that will work. A diference from materials in yafray and pov is that the ones on pov can realy irradiate ligth so if you have a sky in jpg,tga,png, bmp you can tell pov that that texture provide the ilumination :wink:

jms, I just recive your .blend and the problem is that I do not consider the TexFace option on the materials, so just disable that option on the material on the cube and it will work. :wink:

Hi to all !! I begin the procces of transforming the script to c . First to conpensate the slow procces on big meshs, since in py was a very big down side. So the first step is done. Now the ExpM.pov (mesh info) is generate from Blender (is a bigggg diference on the time consumpsion)

Bin with make 2.41Mod and py 0.0.4c

Source Modification

You have to kip on using the script for materials and animation info :frowning: for now.

Known problems.

  • Yafray with F12 is not working at this time , I will fix this as soon as posible.

This is a very early pre-version, so please test it to solve future problems.
