Can’t this be also turned into a node?
Just like the ( screen space based ) AO also has a node. That would be really helpfull to have a real time alternative for the Cycles-only pointyness node.

Thank you…

Not to hijack but, when in shaded mode and you switch to rendered mode you should have the option to disable overlays automaticly. instead of having to manually turn overlays off and on for every time you want to see a render preview in viewport. Anyone agree?

As an option it could be good to have, yeah, but I at least use Eevee with the overlays on basically as often as without them, so for me it wouldn’t be of much use.

makes more sense for cycles I guess

Any info on when hair particle curve editing drawing will be updated? In a build from few days ago hair curve while editing were nice and colourful (but you couldn’t hide them), now they’re just plain black.

Has it been an intentional decision to remove Studio Lighting presets under Shading menu for solid mode?
Or maybe there is some new method to choose them, and I can not find it?
This comes from a few days ago, not only from beta.

they are in the preference temporary, i assume they are working on a new system.

In short, they’re back

What does the red world icon do?

Makes the lighting fixed and not follow the camera.

Taking color samples in Vertex Paint mode seems not to be working with S shortcut. By the way, in 2.79 taking color samples with S never worked in Vertex paint as Sample Merged disabled. I hope that this is corrected in 2.8, because taking color samples taking into account Viewport shading is least useful.

it would be awesome if we could have some thing like this

You don’t trust the measure tool?
