The winner picks the theme for next week.

If the winner doesn’t supply a theme before Thursday 22:30 GMT, the organizer will select the theme. In this case, the winner’s theme will be used the next time we are lacking a theme on Thursday 22:30 GMT.

Having selected the theme, the winner will not be eligible to enter that week. They may however still submit an image, but it won’t be included in the voting.

Oh i didnt intend for my image to be posted in the poll at all :stuck_out_tongue: but its fine.

Some great entries though

Whenever an entry post contains something like ‘pure’, ‘open’ or ‘non competing’ I’ll add the image to the list, as it is always better to have too many entries (instead of missing some of them).

hmm, perhaps poor wording by me then, i said “not competing” btw, not “non competing” :stuck_out_tongue: i dunno if that makes a difference.

A few months back a watched a presentation about pen testing. I expected this to be about it-security. It wasn’t - but it was a lot of fun to watch, anyways. Be that is it may: At one point he tells the audience that many automatic doors are set up in a way that makes it very easy to access buildings. This will prevent support calls to the technicians caused by doors not opening because of ‘insensitive’ sensors.

I’m applying the same strategy to challenge entries. So “non competing”, “not-competing”, “non-competing”, … would have let you in just as well.

Congrats RobertT, and thanks to the one who voted for mine!

This week my votes went to david.speer’s Our Home A Perfect Storm, RobertT’s HOMECOMINGS, and SHADOWSTORM’s Face The Storm. Also enjoyed Xeofrios’s Zeus Returns Home (that’s an awfully nice figure to get done during the challenge timeframe), beau11’s Sieged (the smoke and stuff in the air really sell it), Karmon’s Coming home again, to the perfect storm (stormy!), fcharr’s Robin the Hood (cute!), 2Rock’s RETURN TO STORM (the lighting, composition, and that beautiful storm, almost voted for this), catblue44’s Happy Death Day (funny, but hard to see), and Helge’s Biogenetics for Dummies (the contrast with the dead plant in the pot, ha!).

@Millani: sorry to hear about your 'puter problem!

Thank you, everyone!

Congratulations to all of you on your excellent entries!

I sent the next theme to Helge. Hopefully something uplifting

It definitely is:

Thanks! You would think the figure took time! But it took the least. The most time was taken by the materials and composting. The whole project took about 8 hours. It actually looks like this :stuck_out_tongue:-

Congrats to Robert! Your procedural textures are truly amazing :star_struck:! And also to everyone for their amazing entries. Thanks to the 9 (I guess?) people who voted for my entry! I might not be able to participate in the next challenge as I am working on a personal project. :slightly_frowning_face:

Thank you KickAir_8P for the feedback, it’s good to know what I’m getting right and wrong. The competition is a way of finding out if I am improving. I’ll keep having a go when I have the time.
