“There are two main goals for these contests: Fun and Glory.
Fun: You get only 4 days to create a cool image, based on the theme for the week.
Glory: After 2 days of voting, a winner is declared. The winner picks the theme for next week.”
Pure entry, Cycles render, 128 samples & compositor denoising in 2.91.0. Golden Sections / Phi Grid composition, 5x8 aspect ratio, 85mm focal length. Thing I did for this that I’ve never done in Blender before: made a procedural fingerprint map (for the clay vase, started with this tutorial).
Had a bit more time, so: Edited to adjust the eye angle, sclera veins, & fingerprint strength, and add a volumetric cloud, and upped the samples (to 128, 64 left some mottling in the shadows).
Hello…
Whats up with the “brown lines” on the floor, there almost like an illusion (in a good way) ?
At first i though two different odd shapes, but after tracing them it seams like one single line. Are they flat on the floor or do they spiral down and giving the weird effect ? It don’t look like they are casting any shadows so it seams like a design on the floor. This is really getting to me… kind of weird. Nice scene you created there.
That’s an enneagram attached to the floor and yes, it slightly spiral down to avoid z-fighting. It almost 7 meters across and has 4 mm height difference in total.
