Phew, barely made it! This simple seeming scene presented alot to juggle (even using Vagon cloud computing) and I still could wish to make improvements but the day is over and I’ve got to post this.

I really love this concept. How did you get it all to work?
Is it a compositing trick?
It was quite the roller coaster. I recorded the process which will be up on YouTube after the videos scheduled before it are up.
But the main element is the Ray Portal shader node which was just release in 4.3 I think.
The Ray Portal Node is a mighty one and really fun to use… I did some research on it and put it into an “easy to use for everone” addon for blender … Take a look on my announcement a while ago … Portal Projection | Made easy | Blender addon
Ooh that’s very cool! I know I had to hobble together a shader group node and geometry nodes modifier as assets to make it easier for myself to use, so something like yours seems great, I’ll defiantly take a look!
