The only reason for concentrating on the age of sail was the complexity of making the Larger deep docks for steamships. As there is no sharp dividing line I have decided to include steamships, as imposible for a single person making complex docks and the cranes and buildings required. So best to regard each route complete regardless of any fixed timeline. So Silloth, Maryport up to Workington will be steamships which I will work through before uploading them again.
I have been reading through the terms of Blender Artists and third parties, so for now I will cease posting further.

So apparently Blender EXE will needs open gl to open it to reinstall.
There seems to be a lot of disscusion on the net about it.
That seems final for me, after spending hours on the internet to find a safe appropriate download. Seems to make route making less permanent with Blender !

The last update from windows 10 seems to have rectified the problem.

Without details as o whether each route opened and ran OK it seems further route-making is a lost cause. Apparently, perhaps the software others are using is unable to download
the routes. All are below or up to only 5 meg.

This post just summarises the present position and to inform unlikely to make further downloadable routes for Blender Artists using embedded 2.79b.

I posted this on the steamships page and will now be posting on this page.

Different approach will be-
Alphabetical order as regards description of zip file.
e.g. Liverpool would be L01liverpool. 01 is the version.
No steamships. Sail only from now on, so up to about 1825, or more.
Embedded 2.79b to enable ‘outsiders’ to download .2.79b once.
Size of area will vary. Max. zip file is up to 5 meg., including textures to enable the maritime route to be downloaded from the Blender Artists pages.
So any functions I include must be in the embedded 2.79b Blender.
Emphasis is past ages and bygone times before industrialisation.
Previous routes will be used initially and all will be amended.
Obviously critique would not be applicable. Discussion fine IF it fits within the parameters detailed. B

Each route will have it’s own era so some might include steamships, others like the Liverpool route only sail. The reason is the docks layout is as the docks were at the beginning of the 19th century based on actual docks layout unusable for steamships. These docks continually altered even up to the current day.
I will keep the alphabet title with each route e.g, up to 3 letters, DEG01deganwy

I started on the circumnavigation of the UK originally on these forums and methinks that I the way I will continue. So no I won’t post in completed section further and will continue on the work in progress pages. Frequent changes are due to several reasons especially after closing my web site, complications with windows 10, especially the removal of the original game engine and several other reasons I won’t go into.

Routes will have versions and all will be available from the Blender Artists page, all under 5 megabyte zip including textures. Route size about 10 to 40 km. All past ages and bygone times. sail and some steamships possibly. All free.
Many of the routes will be very basic initially but based on srtm2 maps. Probably have to use the displace function greyscale map as even the original script altered and had to change to greyscale.

All routes will be 2.79b. There will be no 2.8 routes. All routes will be embedded, so people outside of these forums will need to download 2.79b from the archives. Details will be in the zip file. All the previous routes will be used but altered and adapted as necessary.
