Do you think it will look like the design mockups from William Reynish ? Or will it be a greyish Flatty Dark ?

Bad choice imo. It’s a little too harsh for my taste not to mention the boring blueish tone. Really dissapointed. They could pick some themes and let the people vote.
But in the end it’s just a theme, not a big problem, can be swapped in zero day.

I’d prefer the Flatty Dark Grey theme. Tinted interfaces look pretty but are usually bad for color grading. With a blueish interface you end up making your whole scene blueish because your eyes adapt to it.
This is also what really annoys me with Blackmagicdesigns Fusion, but at least in Blender we can change it

Yes I agree, I thought it was going to look like William’s designs actually, it would have been really clean, or even a grey Flatty Dark indeed. But yes, as @ThinkingPolygons said it is just a theme

Not a fan of the blueberry either.
Also, the region overlap should be off by default imo.
I like it but it can definitely throw off one’s white balance.
Still. Just looks unfinished to me. And now that we have favorites (which I assume will support icons in the future), if you add one of those commands with no icons, boom.
It’s a bad idea imo, most apps have icons for almost everything, why try to be weird alone?
t’s not bad, I like it.
In general I like themes where differentiation between not selected/not active/not checked things, and selected/active/cheked things are well noticeable (checkboxes, filled/empty parts in sliders, curves in graph editor, etc).
Regarding this, main problem I noticed is that filled and empty part is not very visually distinguishable in sliders fields such as brush size slider. Also whole field slider does not look very differentiated/separated from the rest of TopBar (this at least on my monitor).
Regarding issues related to themes, I’m not sure if in 2.8 we’ll have something like the field where the errors/warnings are showed in the top part in 2.7x:
But user that creates themes have always complained that they can not configure visibility in that field if it has poor readability. I hope that it is fixed if it is implemented again.
YAFU in the latest 2.8 build should be addressed. It will make the surrounding box a bit brighter (by 20/255).

It should even be somewhere else, according to the new Blender Developer’s video of Pablo Because it is true that it is not visible enough (sorry it is a bit off topic, it can be continued here).
Count me as one more person who’s not pleased with a subtly-not-quite-gray interface color. Software where you do color-sensitive work shouldn’t be messing with your white balance perception like that.
Also, the two flatty themes have weirdly pale edges in edit mode:

Bad choice for the theme IMO.

Fortunately everyone makes their own theme.
Oh man … that is a bummer! Really bad choice for the default! Tinted interface is a no-go.
In addition to changing with what button to select stuff, new users now have to change the theme too … that’s too bad.
I quite like it but change the viewport gradient colour to be dark at the top… I agree that the checkboxes on or off can be quite too subtle and the wire is difficult to see sometimes
Can someone post a few screenshots of what this new theme looks like?
Talked with Pablo on the IRC, The default theme will be Flatty Dark a color neutral variant of the current Blueberry theme.
So, hold your horses.
