I made this machete model for the Poly Haven contest, but it never occured to me while working on it that rendering out a nice preview was something I ought to do.
So last night, after a few minutes of pre-planning, I got to work building the scene. Got the tree stump photoscan from ambientcg.com, started arranging the elements and setting up the camera…then I fell asleep cause at that point it was around midnight. 
Quick word of warning: DO NOT fall asleep with your headphones playing “Let Her Dance” by The Bobby Fuller Four, not unless you want half-remembered but still distinctly depressing dreams with Elise Trouw in them to cast a pall over your next day.
