Heya, I’m currently doing the retopology using with the “in front” option in viewport display of the low poly as seen there:
As you can see, it shows even the back face in front.
Is there a way to have backface culling to hide all the behind vertex/faces while having the front facing one showing in front ?

For retopo I can recommend this add on Draw Xray

Thanks, looks like it would work nicely.
Won’t use it this time, because I want to work without addons to identify slow/wonky/bad parts in my workflow.

TUTORIAL: HOW TO HIDE BACKFACE IN RETOPOLOGY
I prepared four techniques of retopology in Blender without using scripts.
#1. LP Solidify
Create Modifier “Solidify” on Low Poly and change in material on value “1”
Add two materials to Low Poly rename optional Name: “LP_Front” and “LP_Back”
In material LP_Front change Alpha on value “0.600” and LP_Back must be Alpha “0.000”
Select “Backface Culling”
Create Modifier “Displace” change Strength: “0.008” and Midlevel: “0.000”
