Blender’s main download page now has 3.4.o, and the demo files page has the Splash blend! Get it while it’s hot!
3.5.0 beta is now out, showing the new splash screen, Bakery by Nicole Morena! The blendfile isn’t up at the demo files page nor at the Art Gallery yet.
There is a download button on the What’s new page
Thanks! On 3.5.0’s What’s New page near the bottom, where it says GET THE ARTWORK (clicking the link didn’t start the download, I picked one of the mirrors).
3.6.0 beta has been out for a couple days, showing the new splash screen from Pet Projects by Blender Studio. The blendfile isn’t up at the demo files page nor at the Art Gallery yet.
However, the 3.5.1 splash screen is now (don’t know when it happened) up at the demo files page.
Blender’s main download page now has 3.6.0!
Splash screen is up on 3.6.0’s What’s New page near the bottom, where it says GET THE ARTWORK (if clicking the link doesn’t start the download, try picking one of the mirrors). Splash screen isn’t up at the demo page yet.
Edited to add: it’s now up at the demo page – seems to be happening about a week after the release.
4.0.0 beta today shows the new splash screen, Somewhere in Mediterranean by Gaku Tada. The blendfile isn’t up at the demo files page yet, nor anywhere else that I’ve seen.
Blender’s main download page now has 4.0.0!
Blend file for the splash screen is up on 4.0.0’s Release Notes page near the bottom, where it says GET THE ARTWORK. Splash screen isn’t up at the demo page yet.
Edited to add: it’s now up at the demo page too.
Today’s 4.1.0 Release Candidate has the new splash screen by LynxsDesign (not finding the work’s title ):
Blend file for the splash screen not up on the Release Notes page or the demo page yet.
Edited to add: looks like a cropped/flipped version of sofa-2-area, part of the B&W Villa project.
It’s up on the the demo page ! Early even, the main release isn’t live yet. Get it while it’s hot!
Edited to add: 4.1 went live sometime between 5-6pm Amsterdam time. The link that previously went to the Release Notes now goes to the snazzy What’s New page (sometimes, for me that’s working in Firefox but not MSEdge), which also has a link to the splash screen blend file at the bottom where it says “Get the Artwork”.
4.2.0 beta today shows the new splash screen from Project Gold. The blendfile isn’t up at the demo files page yet, nor anywhere else that I’ve seen.
Not sure how live I wanna call this. The 4.1.1 download button is (at the time of this posting) going to https://www.blender.org/download/release/Blender4.2/blender-4.2.0-windows-x64.msi/ . Main page still says 4.1, demo page doesn’t have the new splash blend up yet.
Edited to add: should’ve known! Splash blend isn’t up on the demo page yet, but the What’s New page has a Get the Artwork link: https://www.blender.org/download/demo/splash/blender-4.2-splash.zip . And the main page is now showing:
Edited again to add: it’s finally up on the demo page (wasn’t when I checked a few hours ago).
4.3.0 beta today shows the new splash screen attributed to Blender Studio, although I don’t recognize the project. The blendfile isn’t up at the demo files page yet, nor anywhere else that I’ve seen.
I think this one is called Windmill, and it is a demo for GPv3 they plan to show at the Blender Conference. It features in the Blender Studio Log 3. Julian, Vivien and Rik Schutte seems to be involved on this one.
