“The bath house chicken” scene by igoremba downloaded from sketchfab but the chickens are ghosts.
I need to paint a mask for the beaks on all of them.
Might be easier to rebuild just one of them and place it all over the scene.

Light linking is not flexible enough.

Since this was built as a game asset, everything is one object. I’d rather not have to go to the trouble of breaking it up. If I could light link to particular vertex groups or face groups or materials (basically face groups again) it would be very convenient.

Scale the energy of all selected lights in Blender:
Blender scale all light power at the same time:

import bpy

for obj in bpy.context.selected_objects:
    obj.data.energy *= .20

Ambient occlusion shader node should take input of specific objects or collection to be influenced by.

I have some manually placed rivets in a thin sheet of shiny metal and I want the ambient occlusion output from being close to the rivets to drive the displacement on the metal sheet to get a wee bit of distortion around the rivets in the sharp reflection of the metal sheet. I don’t want ambient occlusion info from any other object near the sheet for this particular effect.

I suppose it can be setup this way with geometry nodes but then the detail of the texture is dependant upon the resolution of the mesh.

I seem to have developed monocular diplopia (double vision even with only one eye open) in the last few weeks since returning to sea level.

this cake looks very tasty! Well done! :heart_eyes:

I did not make the cake. I just download random free 3d models from the internet and play with the materials and make a scene around them.

How can I make all peaks the same height in a noise texture?
