20 SCR-584s were installed to protect London wiht 80 guns using proximity fused shells and on one sunday
97 out of 101 V1 were shut down.
For D-day 39 SCR-584s were used tracking Luftwaffe attacks on the beaches.
Ounce locked on the antenna followed the target and synchornized the guns.
It could track planes going at up to 700 MPH and up to 60 000 feet at a distance of 8 miles.

enough for 81-second bursts, were stored in a 6 ½ ton detachable armoured trailer towed by the tanks Crocodile

The flame thrower had a range of up to 120 yards (110 m)
on D-day flame thrower was used so successfully against bunkers that many bunkers surrendered after the first ranging shot

LCVP - Higgins boat
The Landing Craft, Vehicle, Personnel (LCVP) or Higgins boat
More than 20,000 were built, by Higgins Industries and licensees in USA.
Typically constructed from plywood, this shallow-draft, barge-like boat could ferry a platoon-sized complement of 36 men to shore at 9 knots (17 km/h).

At the request from England by the combined Operations Headquarters of the British war office
The Weasel began development in 1942, to meet a requirement by the First Special Services Force for transportation into Norway where the target was power plants supplying Germany with electricity and productino of heavy water.
But never really used there.

The Weasel was used by the 1800 strong American/Canadian 1St special service force the Devil’s Brigade or Black Devils
from 1942 to late 1944.
The Devil’s Brigade fought throughout the Aleutians, itlian,Anzio and French campaings before being disbanded on December 4 th 1944

guess that not all sites seems to show this quantity used on tanks
and using a big IR telescope can improve the maximum distance too
in any case still impressive to see it was invented in WWII
