The Animation Nodes (AN) addon is a node based visual scripting system designed for motion graphics in Blender.
The main goal of this project is to have a very customizable and extendable node framework. You can use it as powerful driver alternative, text manipulator, animation replicator, ......
Download and Installation
1. Open the Github page of AN.
2. Press the "Download ZIP" button on the right side.
3. Open the user preferences in Blender and go to the Addons tab.
4. Click "Install from File" at the bottom and find the .zip file.
5. Activate the addon by clicking on the checkbox.
If it doesn't work please read the error message you get and do what it sais (maybe you need another Blender version or so). If it still does not work please report it here or on Github.
Here are some example files you can study. All files use the CC BY license. This means you can freely use the file for everything you like, but you have to name the original author. More information are in the files themselves.
Leon Cheung created a spreadsheet that helps to directly jump to the quality posts in this Thread.
AN has a manual, but it does not contain much information yet. You should check it out anyway because there are quite a few external links to sites that provide learning material.
You can ask questions about AN on blender.stackexchange.com using the 'animation-nodes' tag. If the answer to you question does not fit into one answer you can also ask it here in the forum or on Github.
The development is mainly done by me (Jacques Lucke) but there a a few more developers who contributed code to the project. Most discussions about future development are on Github, everyone is invited to join us there.
