Creative Zen Micro

An attempt at recreating a Creative Zen Micro MP3 player from 2004, and my crude incursion into product rendering for a change.

I miss the old technology from the early 2000, no subscriptions, no internet connections, no privacy concerns, you actually owned what you bought.
Never actually owned one of these (I tried to, but were out of stock), but I’ve always had a fascination for them. The compact size, the colors, the dot matrix screen, and the fact that they actually housed a tiny hard drive in them with a generous capacity for the time.

There are still a few old mentions around in this forum

On the more technical side:

This looks really good, I like the materials especially the variation of different colours you did.

My one criticism is that on some of them it is hard to see the buttons with the colour of the device.

Indeed you are right, the most noticeable ones are probably the lit light blue one, and the unlit white. Likely why some of the press images by Creative themselves seem to have touched up glows to make them a bit easier to see.

Also not a big fan of how some reflections turned out, I’ll try and improve on those.

Thanks for the feedback
