Houseplants study

My latest project in which I tried to focus myself on the Indoorplants as well as realism.

The plants are from a variery of libraries like Quixel, Globeplants and Poliigon. I had to rework a lot of them to make them work properly with the Cycles render-engine as they were not optimised for it.

Lighting is done with the Physical Starlight and Atmosphere add-on and postprocecessing in Photoshop.

Curious about your opinions!

The shadows and semi transparent leaf bits looks great.
Are all the library assets free downloads?

gorgeous interior

Thank you!

Glad you notice the little details! Most of the assets are paid ones, but they do have some free models as well!

For most all of what you’ve done it looks awesome. To be picky a bit, the shadows cast are not consistant from a directional perspective. I guess it might not be too clear as to which direction the source of light is? But, again, I might be being too picky or just off in my assesment! I am no less impressed by your work!

Where might these be available at?

I featured you on BlenderNation, have a great weekend!

I’m not really sure what you mean. The light is done by using the Physical Atmosphere Add-on so it should be natural accurate. However, glad to hear that you like it!

Which one do you mean?

Where did you get such exquisite floor and wall textures?

The floor texture is from Poliigon: https://www.poliigon.com/texture/tiles-terracotta-reclaimed-natural-square-001. The wall is from Quixel megascans, should be this one:https://quixel.com/megascans/home?category=surface&category=plaster&assetId=vhqkeff, I tweaked it a little bit though.

Edit: I have uploaded one additional evening shot.

You’re on the #featured row! :+1:

Have to agree, these are very nice renders! :+1:

@everybody
Regarding Quixel models… There’s some ‘legal shenanigans’ regarding usage, be aware of those for using them

Yes, the quixel assets are only free to use while using Unreal Engine! I do have a paid freelance account so I can use them without problems within my work in Blender.
