Hey everyone! I though it would be a good idea to have a separate News topic where we can post regular updates, inspiration etc. We’ll be posting important updates here from time to time, so please keep a close eye on this topic!
In order to keep this topic clean, I’m closing it for public replies.

Aug 24: Sketchfab Livestream - Learn how to use the Sketchfab add-on for Blender
With the Sketchfab add-on for Blender you can directly import and export models from and to Sketchfab in Blender. It can search through the Creative Commons database of over 1 Million models, and import the assets directly into your scene.
Next Wednesday, August 24 at 3PM Amsterdam time, Tom Flynn from the Sketchfab Community Team will assemble a scene using the add-on and he can answer all questions you have about using the Sketchfab viewer.
Hey everyone! As we’re entering the final days of the challenge, I’d like to give you some helpful tips to make sure you can successfully complete your entry. Please read these carefully, and feel free to ask any questions in the FAQ topic as always.
Upload your model to Sketchfab
Remember: it’s a requirement to publish your model on Sketchfab (since they’re our sponsor). If you haven’t done so yet, I recommend you start testing immediately to catch potential issues. Don’t worry about the upload credits: you can delete a test model to get your credit returned to you, or you can use the reupload feature to update an existing model.
Feel free to post any Sketchfab related questions on the FAQ topic too! We’ll be keeping a close eye on it.
Please add an updated screenshot at the top of your WIP topic so the gallery reflects the current state of your entry. You can use the Sketchfab screenshot tool to automatically generate one from your model.
Mind the submission deadline!
The submission deadline is 2022-09-15T21:59:00Z (GMT+1) - click the link for some international times.
Tag your entry with #bcon22challenge
Add the challenge tag to your model using the model properties. Note that just adding the text ‘#bcon22challenge’ to the title or model description is not enough! There’s a dedicates ‘tags’ section on that page.
That’s it for me for today, good luck and have fun!
Hey! Just a quick reminder that there’s now less than 12 hours remaining to wrap up your challenge entry - submissions close at 2022-09-15T21:59:00Z, GMT+1 (click on the link for some international times).
If you haven’t done so already, please review this post which contains some essential information for preparing your submission.
At the very least, upload your work to Sketchfab as soon as possible and add the #bcon22challenge tag.
It’s also a good idea to add a link to your WIP topic in the description of your Sketchfab model so we can easily find it.
I’ll also keep a close eye on the FAQ topic today, so if you have any issues or questions please post it there as soon as possible.
Hey everone, that’s a wrap! The submission deadline has passed and the judges will now have the hard task of selecting their favorite work. I’ve seen some really fantastic work - great job everybody!
Potential winners will be contacted by September 30, 2022. Stay tuned
